Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in Rome during his extensive European tenure, 'Moon' captures Steve Lacy delving deeply into uncompromising free improvisation[cite: 1]. Utilizing a stark acoustic environment, the soprano saxophonist trades abrasive, atonal dialogues with his backing musicians in real-time[cite: 1]. Released via the legendary BYG Actuel imprint, it stands as a prime, challenging text of the era's avant-garde jazz diaspora[cite: 1].
