Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recovering from a bout with COVID-19, the fiercely independent country star assembled a group of legendary Nashville studio musicians to completely reimagine his back catalog. Stripping away the psychedelic rock and synthesized funk of his previous albums, the tracks are rebuilt into high-tempo, remarkably virtuosic traditional Appalachian bluegrass. The surprise release highlighted the unparalleled strength of his core songwriting.
