Album Notes & Community Reviews

Sturgill Simpson's debut solo album serves as a rigorous, authentic revival of the 1970s outlaw country movement spearheaded by Waylon Jennings and Merle Haggard. Produced by Dave Cobb, the record pairs sharp, traditional country instrumentation with fiercely introspective, mountain-bred songwriting.
