Album Notes & Community Reviews

Highlighting a massive stylistic shift, the Chicago quintet largely abandoned their theatrical progressive rock roots in favor of highly polished, radio-ready AOR and ballads. The album is anchored by the colossal success of Dennis DeYoung's acoustic ballad 'Babe', which became the band's first and only number-one single. Despite alienating some older fans, the incredibly slick production firmly established them as multi-platinum arena rock superstars.
