Album Notes & Community Reviews

Styx's fourth and final studio album for the Wooden Nickel label sees the Chicago quintet pushing their sound towards more aggressive, guitar-driven hard rock. While still retaining their progressive theatricality, the writing of Dennis DeYoung and James Young aims for a more streamlined, stadium-ready approach. The album set the transitional groundwork for their massive commercial breakthrough at A&M Records.
