Album Notes & Community Reviews

Mark Kozelek continues his polarizing era of hyper-specific, stream-of-consciousness storytelling layered over gentle, nylon-string acoustic guitar. Functioning more as a lengthy spoken-word monologue than a traditional folk record, the songs touch on sentimental, everyday observations and aging within the modern industry. It is a distinctly mellow, uncomfortably calm, and thoroughly introspective singer-songwriter effort.
