Album Notes & Community Reviews

On '3: Flight of the Behemoth', Sunn O))) explores the outer limits of guitar resonance and drone metal. The album utilizes drop-tuned, heavily distorted amplification to create an ominous, minimalistic, and profoundly physical listening experience. It features early collaborations with noise artist Merzbow, adding chaotic electronic textures to their repetitive sludge.
