Album Notes & Community Reviews
Functioning as a dense, instrumental concept album chronicling the life of Alexander the Great, this complex suite marks the final studio recording by the band's core lineup. The addition of saxophonist Charlie Mariano injected a fierce, avant-garde jazz sensibility that pushed their quirky, Canterbury-inspired sound into intense new territory.
