Biography
Supersister is a Dutch progressive rock band from The Hague, formed in 1968 around keyboardist Robert Jan Stips. The classic lineup with Sacha van Geest, Ron van Eck and Marco Vrolijk released 'Present from Nancy', 'To the Highest Bidder' and 'Pudding en Gisteren' between 1970 and 1972, mixing Canterbury style whimsy with jazz rock. After the 1973 concept album 'Iskander' and a 1974 finale, Stips revived Supersister in 2019; the current trio with bassist Rinus Gerritsen and drummer Leon Klaasse released 'Nancy Never Knew' in 2025.
