Album Notes & Community Reviews
A monumental, foundational release for the French hip-hop movement, the debut album from Kool Shen and JoeyStarr captured the boiling frustrations of the Parisian banlieues. 'Authentik' utilizes aggressive, hardcore boom bap beats to deliver intensely political, conscious lyricism detailing police brutality and social inequality.
