Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Paris sous les bombes' is a monumental, highly explosive achievement in French hip-hop, capturing the aggressive, socially conscious spirit of the Parisian banlieues. The iconic duo of JoeyStarr and Kool Shen deliver furious, heavily political verses over deeply rhythmic, boom-bap production. The record served as a massive cultural touchstone, forcefully voicing the mounting frustrations of disenfranchised urban youth in 1990s France.
