Album Notes & Community Reviews
These two concerts, taped at the WBAI Free Music Store and at Phil Niblock's New York loft, capture Ciani demonstrating the Buchla system she then helped build as a company employee, in support of her National Endowment paper on the instrument. Unheard for four decades, 'Buchla Concerts 1975' preserves an alternative, melodic path for modular synthesis at the moment of its invention.
