The British alternative rock quartet delivered their most remarkably polished, heavily melodic iteration of guitar-driven shoegaze on their third studio album. Adam Franklin's remarkably catchy, soaring vocal hooks are perfectly enveloped by massive, heavily distorted walls of swirling guitar effects and driving, post-punk rhythms. Despite being a masterclass in 1990s alternative rock, the record unfortunately suffered from severe label disputes and was infamously denied an American release.
