Biography
Swervedriver is an English alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1989 by Adam Franklin and Jimmy Hartridge. Blending shoegaze with hard rock, they released 'Raise' (1991), 'Mezcal Head' (1993) and '99th Dream' (1998) before splitting, then reunited in 2008 and returned with new albums in 2015 and 2019. Their records remain touchstones for bands mixing guitar noise, melody and open-road Americana imagery.
