Album Notes & Community Reviews

Joining forces with the visionary electronic producer Patrick Cowley, the flamboyant disco icon delivered a colossal masterpiece of the emerging Hi-NRG genre. The album is famously anchored by the groundbreaking synthesizer anthem 'Do You Wanna Funk', a massive global club hit that perfectly married Cowley's pulsing, mechanical rhythms with Sylvester's commanding, gospel-infused vocal wails. It stands as a triumphant, defining moment in 1980s dance music.
