Album Notes & Community Reviews

This profoundly successful cross-cultural collaboration explicitly explores the deep historical connections between American blues and traditional West African music[cite: 1]. Taj Mahal's rustic acoustic guitar and gravelly vocals intertwine beautifully with Toumani Diabat茅's hypnotic, masterful kora playing throughout the entirely acoustic recording[cite: 1].
