A deeply uncompromising exercise in acoustic restraint, this solo guitar recording fundamentally shaped the Japanese onkyo movement. Taku Sugimoto plays incredibly sparse, atonal notes separated by vast stretches of silence, actively forcing the listener to focus as much on the quiet decay of the strings as on the actual plucking.
