Album Notes & Community Reviews
Conceived alongside David Byrne's eccentric feature film of the same name, 'True Stories' finds Talking Heads fully embracing a glossy, incredibly upbeat pop-rock sound. The album strips away much of their earlier avant-garde polyrhythms in favor of highly melodic, radio-friendly hooks and Americana influences. It is a playful, heavily optimistic, and highly accessible entry in their iconic discography.
