Deadbeat

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Deadbeat', Kevin Parker propels Tame Impala's sound further into electronic territory, embracing four-on-the-floor rhythms inspired by the Western Australia rave scene while maintaining his signature psychedelic pop haze. Lyrically, the album explores themes of anxiety, self-sabotage, and emotional disconnection, with Parker's reverb-drenched falsetto conveying a sense of resigned introspection against a backdrop of pulsing synths and complex, layered arrangements.
