Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'The Slow Rush', Kevin Parker shifts Tame Impala's sound further into meticulously produced psychedelic disco and R&B-infused soft-rock. Parker's layered production emphasizes keyboards, house pianos, and funk basslines over the project's earlier guitar-centric sound. Lyrically, the album is a cohesive exploration of time's passage, with introspective lyrics on nostalgia, fame, and emotional doubt often veiled by sweet, idyllic melodies.
