Building forcefully upon their debut, the queer punk pioneers refined their aggressive, emotionally volatile sound into more complex post-hardcore structures. The fiercely political and deeply personal lyricism addresses LGBTQ+ survival, alienation, and resistance within the underground music scene. Following its release, founding member Donna Dresch exited the group, marking the end of their most prolific and influential era.
