Album Notes & Community Reviews

Visual artist and alt-country pioneer Terry Allen delivered a highly energetic, piano-driven romp with 'Smokin' the Dummy'. Backed by the robust Panhandle Mystery Band, the album fuses outlaw country grit with eccentric, humorous storytelling that vividly captures the eccentricities of the American Southwest. It remains a vital cult classic of Texas roots music.
