Biography
Terry Allen and the Panhandle Mystery Band is Terry Allen's billing with the Lubbock musicians who coalesced around the 1978 'Lubbock (On Everything)' sessions, centred on Lloyd Maines and Richard Bowden. The band powers the rocking 'Smokin' the Dummy' (1980) and 'Bloodlines' (1983), two records of darkly comic West Texas songwriting, and reconvened in force four decades later for 'Just Like Moby Dick' in 2020.
