Album Notes & Community Reviews

With Gregg Allman coming to the forefront as a primary songwriter, The Allman Brothers Band delivered an incredibly tight, beautifully melodic Southern rock masterclass. Featuring the immortal instrumental 'In Memory of Elizabeth Reed', 'Idlewild South' balances fiercely energetic, highly rhythmic blues-rock interplay with wonderfully warm, deeply passionate melancholic soul.
