Album Notes & Community Reviews
Departing slightly from the pure folk-rock of their debut, 'Renaissance' plunges The Association into elaborate, studio-crafted sunshine pop infused with mild psychedelia. The band handles almost all of the songwriting, creating lush, multi-part vocal harmonies over intricate and unusual chord progressions. Despite a lack of massive hit singles compared to their other releases, it remains a cult favorite among harmony pop aficionados.
