Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Bar-Kays transition fully into hard, Parliament-Funkadelic inspired psychedelic soul on this crucial Stax/Volt release. The album delivers monstrously heavy rhythm sections, fuzz guitar, and driving horn arrangements, shedding their 1960s instrumental R&B roots in favor of uncompromising, street-level funk.
