I Have Fought Against It, but I Can't Any Longer. cover art

The notoriously bleak doom metal duo heavily incorporated electronic drum programming, guest vocalists, and classical string samples to construct this harrowing, deeply pessimistic album. Drawing thematic inspiration from Virginia Woolf and Clarice Lispector, it is an overwhelmingly dark, genre-fluid exploration of severe depression and existential surrender. The terrifyingly heavy release further blurred the lines between power electronics and modern metal.
