Lingua Ignota

Lingua Ignota was the moniker of American classically-trained multi-instrumentalist Kristin Hayter. Her music combines elements of opera, industrial, noise, and classical to explore themes of trauma, abuse, and vengeance, drawn from her personal experiences. Describing her work as "survivor anthems," Hayter's sound is known for its extreme dynamic shifts, from serene piano passages to harrowing, distorted screams. After self-releasing 'All Bitches Die', she signed to #Profound Lore Records# for 2019's acclaimed 'Caligula'. Her final album under the name, 'Sinner Get Ready', was released by #Sargent House# in 2021 before she retired the project in 2023 to pursue new artistic directions.
