Continuing their rigorous recording schedule under the direction of producer Dan Penn, the Memphis group delivers another set of polished, radio-ready blue-eyed soul. 'Non Stop' relies heavily on the gravelly, mature lead vocals of a teenage Alex Chilton to elevate pop-rock standards and R&B covers. The album reflects the demanding commercial pressures placed on the band, largely utilizing session musicians to achieve its smooth studio sound.
