Album Notes & Community Reviews

The massive Staten Island instrumental ensemble significantly darkens their signature Afro-soul aesthetic, explicitly incorporating the fuzz-heavy, driving riffs of classic 1970s hard rock and early heavy metal. 'Burnt Offering' utilizes incredibly powerful, triumphant brass arrangements layered over remarkably heavy, deeply rhythmic guitar and bass grooves. The record provides a wonderfully psychedelic, fiercely energetic, and profoundly unique twist on modern jazz-funk.
