Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following a period of severe personnel turbulence, Roger McGuinn rebuilt the group with a new lineup, most notably adding guitar virtuoso Clarence White. The record juxtaposes the band's lingering psychedelic inclinations against an escalating dedication to roots music, successfully navigating the transition between their jangly past and their country-rock future.
