Album Notes & Community Reviews

The New Zealand indie-pop pioneers, led by the enduring Martin Phillipps, continue their late-career resurgence with a remarkably vital and uplifting collection of songs. 'Scatterbrain' retains the band's signature chiming guitars and the distinct, jangly aesthetic of the classic Dunedin Sound, while reflecting on mortality and personal legacy. It stands as a testament to Phillipps' enduring gift for crafting bittersweet, deceptively bright alternative pop.
