Album Notes & Community Reviews

With 'Morrison Hotel', The Doors made a conscious return to a harder, blues-rock sound after the orchestral experimentation of their previous album. The record is split into two sides, 'Hard Rock Cafe' and 'Morrison Hotel,' and features a more direct and raw approach. Jim Morrison's vocals are gritty and powerful, and the band's playing is tight and energetic, resulting in one of their most consistent and acclaimed albums.
