Album Notes & Community Reviews
Released a mere three months after the tragic death of Jim Morrison, the surviving trio opted to continue recording, sharing lead vocal duties between Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger. The music leans heavily into the blues-rock and jazz-inflected instrumentation they had mastered on 'L.A. Woman', maintaining the band's unmistakable instrumental chemistry. Despite the admirable resilience, it struggled to emerge from the overwhelming shadow of their fallen frontman.
