Album Notes & Community Reviews

Abandoning the technicolor pop of their mid-2000s work, The Flaming Lips return to a darker, more experimental sound. 'Embryonic' is a sprawling, chaotic double album filled with distorted bass lines and krautrock rhythms. It is a bold artistic reset that explores themes of evil and the cosmos.
