Biography
The Flaming Lips are an iconic American rock band formed in Oklahoma City. Beginning as a noise-rock outfit in 1983, they evolved into one of the most inventive and acclaimed groups in alternative music. After signing with #Warner Bros. Records#, they gained mainstream attention with the 1993 single "She Don't Use Jelly." Their artistic breakthrough came with 1999's 'The Soft Bulletin', a lush, symphonic pop masterpiece that, along with its follow-up 'Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots', cemented their reputation. Known for their deeply emotional and psychedelic songwriting, the band is equally famous for its elaborate, joyous, and confetti-filled live performances, creating a uniquely immersive concert experience.
