Album Notes & Community Reviews
The debut full-length from the pioneering Dutch ensemble acts as a crucial bridge between heavy death-doom and atmospheric gothic metal. Distinctly characterized by the interplay of Bart Smits's harsh growls and Marike Groot's ethereal soprano, the album introduced a heavily symphonic, keyboard-driven grandiosity to early extreme metal.
