Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Get Up Kids' debut full-length album was famously recorded in just two days with producer Bob Weston, capturing the raw and urgent energy of their early sound. It stands as a foundational text in the Midwest Emo scene, characterized by its off-key vocals, driving rhythms, and heartfelt, confessional lyrics. 'Four Minute Mile' established the band's signature style and helped lay the groundwork for the subsequent emo-pop explosion.
