The Get Up Kids

The Get Up Kids are a seminal American emo band formed in Kansas City in 1995, considered leaders of the "second wave" emo movement. Known for melodic emo-pop, they gained prominence with Four Minute Mile (1997) and Something to Write Home About (1999), influencing countless bands. They were active from 1995–2005 and reunited in 2008.
