Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating under a pseudonym, Ennio Morricone's famed Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza recorded this wildly anomalous, rhythmically propulsive session. By grafting their dissonant, avant-garde improvisational techniques onto a driving, hypnotic rock backbeat, the Italian collective created a startlingly prescient piece of proto-Krautrock.
