Album Notes & Community Reviews
Reaching an absolute commercial pinnacle by splitting their album into a blistering 'funk' side and a lush 'ballad' side, The Isley Brothers crafted a definitive 70s soul statement. Featuring the iconic social commentary of 'Fight the Power', 'The Heat Is On' flawlessly balances fiercely rhythmic, highly conscious funk-rock with incredibly sensual, wonderfully nocturnal bedroom soul.
