Album Notes & Community Reviews
Breaking through to mainstream commercial success, the Boston-based sextet delivered an incredibly tight, high-energy blast of raw R&B and harmonica-driven blues rock. Fueled by Peter Wolf's charismatic, fast-talking frontman persona and Magic Dick's virtuosic harp solos (most notably on 'Whammer Jammer'), the record captures the infectious, frantic atmosphere of their legendary live shows. It remains a definitive statement of hard-hitting, American bar-band rock and roll.
