Album Notes & Community Reviews

The eponymous debut of the Boston-based sextet captured the raw, raucous energy of their celebrated live performances. Anchored by Peter Wolf's frantic jive-talking vocals and Magic Dick's wailing harmonica, the record injects a highly energized, street-smart attitude into electrified Chicago blues. This aggressive, unvarnished approach laid crucial groundwork for their eventual ascent to arena-rock stardom.
