Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the North American counterpart to 'The Magnificent Moodies', this release captures the original incarnation of The Moody Blues heavily immersed in the British R&B boom. Led by Denny Laine's soulful vocals, the record relies heavily on blues covers and piano-driven beat music, long before the band's famous pivot into symphonic progressive rock. It highlights their raw, energetic origins in the London club circuit.
