Biography
The Moody Blues were an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1964. After the UK number one single 'Go Now', guitarist Justin Hayward and bassist John Lodge joined drummer Graeme Edge, keyboardist Mike Pinder and flautist Ray Thomas to make 'Days of Future Passed' (1967), the orchestral rock landmark containing 'Nights in White Satin'. The band remained a major live draw for five decades, with Patrick Moraz replacing Pinder in 1978, and ceased performing in 2018.
