Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded by the band's original lineup featuring Denny Laine, 'The Magnificent Moodies' captures the group before their dramatic pivot to symphonic progressive rock. The album is deeply rooted in American rhythm and blues and British beat music, heavily driven by their soaring, piano-led cover of 'Go Now'. It is a fascinating snapshot of the mid-60s R&B club circuit in London.
