Album Notes & Community Reviews

Signaling Jeff Lynne's arrival into the fold, the idiosyncratic pop group dramatically thickened their sound with sludgy, intensely heavy guitar riffs. The album's dense, sprawling compositions鈥攎ost notably on the epic title track鈥攕erved as a crucial creative laboratory for the symphonic ideas that Lynne and Roy Wood would soon formalize in the Electric Light Orchestra.
