Album Notes & Community Reviews

Most notable for featuring the virtuosic cello and songwriting contributions of a young Arthur Russell, The Necessaries' sole full-length is a masterclass in highly intelligent, melodic power pop. 'Big Sky' blends energetic guitar hooks with introspective lyricism, standing as an essential, criminally overlooked artifact of the era.
