Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making their recorded debut, this influential trio meticulously resurrects the raw, driving string-band sounds of the 1920s and 1930s. Eschewing the polished, commercial aesthetics of other folk revival groups, they prioritize historical accuracy in both instrumentation and vocal phrasing. The album served as a vital, highly authentic educational tool for a new generation of urban folk enthusiasts.
