Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acting as meticulous archivists, the urban trio recreates the raw, unpolished string-band music captured on early 1920s and 30s 78-rpm records. By strictly adhering to archaic tuning and rural vocal styles, they provided a crucial, authentic counter-narrative to the slick, commercialized folk-pop acts dominating the era's charts.
